Matt spent his formative years embedded in music and culture, studying a BA of graphic design, photography and fine art whilst releasing music in various bands. The synthesis of his music and arts careers kicked off in the back of Tame Impala’s UK tour van, leading to him documenting Kevin Parker’s first three albums and their breakout global tours supporting MGMT and The Flaming Lips.

This hyper-aural and visual background has earned Matt recognition from the 1.4 Awards, Shots APAC, Vimeo Staff Picks, and multiple Triple J nominations alongside short film funding through Screenwest. He was also selected as a finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Awards 2025.

Backed by postgraduate studies in counselling, Matt brings a unique psychological insight to set. This gives him an invaluable, empathetic shorthand with talent and agency stakeholders alike. Now trusted with large-scale, high-budget commercial TVC productions, he delivers a meticulous visual language specialising in visually surreal, high-concept craft with emotional truth at its core.
